Single shooter, Chinese male (if the reports are correct.  Here on a student visa.  Not even a citizen...  How nice.  Over 50 targets engaged in 2 separate scenes.  All with a 9mm and a .22 hand gun.  How in the F%$#% did they let this douchebag do all of this???  Perhaps removing the pinko-commie touch of student weapon prohibition may have made a difference?  I believe it would have.

As it stands,


A.) Those on Student Visa's are not legally allowed possession of ANY firearm.

B.) The weapons he had were "blanked".  Their serial numbers scratched and pinned (huge felonly).  This means he most likely bought it on the black market (illegally).

C.) The cops stood by with weapons drawn and did nothing (a la Columbine); SOP these days:

"Stand by and look tough with your weapon, hide behind tree or parked car, and wait for gunman to run out of ammo; saving the last bullet for himself.  A bunch of college kids are not worth risking cops over."


Sound familiar?  Same shit w/ Columbine.


Worthless.  They're going to probably use the following excuse for their completely and utter failure to do their jobs:

"Well we need more personnel, equipment, training and infrastructure."

..they're going to use this as an excuse for more "gun-control" and more cops.

This equates down to less rights for everyone.

To play devil's advocate;

If the cops stormed in and started opening fire they would get flooded with lawsuits. Parents who think there kids would still be alive if the cops 'didnt play rambo', parents whose kids got hit by friendly fire, hell even the family of the shooter would sue them.

I would sue the cops for doing NOTHING.

A lot of bravado for the camera, but no action taken to stop this jackass.

its not so easy to just shut down gun sales thankfully. we might have to keep a little pressure on the legislators to vote the right way, but i'm thinking even in light of recent events nothing drastic is going to happen. just keep monitoring the house and senate floor for the next anti-firearm bill
