anybody have any idea how to create a "lightsaber effect" and impose that onto a photograph? i really want to make a photo of myself with a lightsaber

Use a broom-handle or something like that so I have a frame of reference.

For starters, you need photoshop with AlienSkin Eyecandy (Blazing Sun is a good initial filter to use; pick the color you want w/ a white core).

Then mess around with things like corona, lens flare, spotlight, etc.
